Five weeks

Maybe you have all been wondering where I have been these past few days/weeks ... or maybe not. I will let myself think you have been worried sick and didn't have my e-mail address to check on me. Ha!

For the past five weeks or so I have been putting most of my time in at the gym. Wednesday evenings I meet with a personal trainer and get a good hour in. On the off days I have been getting on the elliptical machine, the treadmill, doing lots of crunches AND I am taking classes at the local gym like spinning and boxing.

You could say I am "making things happen" and I couldn't be more motivated and excited. LOL I can't even make the photo rotate ... too tired! In these five weeks I have lost over 15 inches around my body and shed just over 8lbs. Gone - never to come back.

I am extremely lucky to work for a company who cares about their employees by going above and beyond to help us achieve our goals. Cooking lessons, trainers of all sorts, any class you can think of - all of these things and more are made available to us to take advantage of practically anytime we want. My company also allows to have 30-minute "wellness" breaks where we can get up and walk the indoor track, stretch, or combine it with our lunch and get in a full workout.

May sound like I am bragging - well I am bragging. I am in such a happy place these days that I have a constant smile on my face. Oh yea, and we have a steam room and a sauna on premise. You can hate now.

Would love to hear your workout routines, what works and what doesn't, and even some healthy recipes. Please share!

Dawn Budgie

Did anyone happen to catch Identity Thief recently?

I am curious to know what you all thought of this movie. I was hoping to be laughing through the entire movie and I just didn't. It had slow parts and that disappointed me. Your opinions?

Not only did we have yesterday off from work I will also have this Friday off as well (oh how I adore short work weeks). Eric and I will be traveling to the border of NH & ME to celebrate my brother's birthday. Lobstah! My parents are leaving early Thursday and taking our dog with them while we will hit the open road after work. Not looking forward to such a long drive (about 4 hours) in the dark. Cross your fingers that the weather cooperates for us.

What were your plans for this past weekend? Did you have yesterday off? Wow I am so full of questions today ... it could be all the pent up

Absense makes the heart grow fonder

I hope that is the case anyway.

As you may have noticed there hasn't been any new content from me in a few days. A million apologies!

Work was crazy hectic for me so by the time I arrived home I just didn't have the energy to open my laptop much less compose a thoughtful entry. I mean look at the commute I deal with - accidents left and right causing backups for hours.

To make it up to you my friends there will be a giveaway coming up on Monday. A little token of my appreciation and simply because the store owner rocks.

XOXO to all my friends and hope that you have a most wonderful weekend!

What does your Sunday look like?

So I washed my favorite workout pants at THE last possible moment before the cutoff point to where they would dry in time. This is how I speed dry them.
Of course I am using my tripod as a holder for the hanger!

Next up is my view after I get home from a nice workout ... after I shoved a cup of Chicken & Broccoli down my throat that was made fresh as I walking to my local grocery store.

What do your Sundays look like?

In need of fashion help.

I am the first one to admit that I have hardly any fashion sense (although I did get some great finds - shown on the blog next week). Fashionally challenged you might say.

This might be the most easiest concept ever but I just can't seem to get it right. I want to roll my jeans but not sure on how to actually do it. Do I have the right jeans?

This is the look I am going for. Are those skinny jeans? Can this look be accomplished with regular jeans? So many questions!

Just how does one get the perfect jean roll? Please tell me. Is there a tutorial floating around?
